What’s next for the $CLEO token?
As previously announced we’ve brought in a specialist Web3 team to take on the token operations arm of Cleo and following research, there has been an unanimous decision to rebrand and relaunch the token based on a number of factors. The Cleo Tech platform and brand remains unchanged and will continue to use the token exclusively, but we’ve had huge interested both from other chains (due to our large clients and market) and for the use of the token outside of the Cleo Tech Platform.
It's important that the Token can have it's own clear identity, focus and independent future so it can grow and fulfil its vision to be as recognised as AVIOS is for travel, but for doing good.
The team are 100% focussed on the rebrand, and relaunch of our Token and this work is already underway (new name and new brand complete - we are working on the website, white paper and marketing collateral). We are in a huge market, with large clients and a much bigger opportunity and we want to ensure that this story translates to a web3 audience.

For example, following the launch of Sports for Good with UNICEF, we’re already talking to 15 professional football clubs about using our platform to tackle food poverty in their city. This alone could generate over 7.5m meals all executed through our token over the next football season. Think Ripple and the XRP token, but not for banks, for every company, sports club or institution that wants to embed some ESG into their business model.
A significant number of our community have been performing social tasks to earn Cleo tokens. We are delaying the distribution as we want these guys that have been supporting us so well to be some of the first people to get the new token on launch. So we will distribute as discussed, it will be the same value (but of the new token) and it will happen on relaunch, into a vibrant and support liquid market.
The team are working on the schedule now and expect to announce more in the next couple of weeks.
Along with the rebranding, we taking the opportunity to make significant enhancements to our tokenomics, including improved burn mechanisms and direct consumer usage features. Importantly the new token will be swapped for our existing token on a 1:1 basis. It’ll be a new name, likely on a new chain, and re-launched on new larger exchanges with a significant marketing investment. In the meantime, the Cleo token is trading on MEXC and Bitmart and these will be swapped on one for one basis with the new token on launch.
