Cleo Weekly Update 16
Just like London buses, you wait a while for a Cleo update and then two come along at once. Well, almost.
We’re playing catch-up because there’s lots to tell you, so we’ve dropped two updates in quick succession. Head over to our YouTube channel to see them in full.
This week, we put a spotlight on the Cleo Art for Good programme with a very big announcement. We are hugely proud that the Act of Kindness Collective and two amazing creative talents, Adam Pollina and Jessie McMillan, have selected Cleo to launch their Elements collection in support of building a children’s school in Nepal.
This forms our first #ArtforGood collection. Alongside an impressive body of work, from comic books to launching creative brands, Adam and Jessie are two of the principle creative brains behind the very successful Ey3K0n NFT collection https://ey3k0n.io/
To explain a little about Elements, it’s a kick-ass collection of art that represents 5 natural elements - Earth, Wind, Fire, Water and Space. The collection will feature a mix of standard and special versions, with additional incentives to own all 5. And, unlike traditional PFP NFTs or somebody buying something just for the art or just for the technology, these NFTs are actually backed by a good that’s being done in the world.
The great news for collectors of NFTs like ourselves is that we will be launching this collection on both OpenSea and Cleo at the same time and under the same contract. If anyone purchases on Cleo, you can export your Cleo NFT to your own decentralized wallet so you can offer it for sale across OpenSea or one of the other NFT marketplaces, should you wish. There’ll be plenty more to come on the Elements collection so keep an eye on our socials for more announcements, in particular the launch date.
So, what else did we cover in this episode. Well, there’s an impending re-brand of Cleo. We wanted to refresh and do something different, so we’re excited to show you what we’ve been working on in the background and how the new brand story fits perfectly with what we’re all about.
Finally, Jason talked about our presence at Zebu Live. We’re planning to be there in London to see the hottest projects happening in Web3 at the moment. We’ll be bringing some merch along too, so if you spot us, please come and say hello. The event is happening over two days (05 - 06 October) and you can get tickets here.
